Welcome to Year 10 English
To successfully participate in all areas of life, we need to be effective oral, written, and visual communicators and be able to think critically and in depth.
By understanding how language works, you will be equipped to make appropriate language choices and apply them in a range of contexts.
The study of New Zealand and world literature contributes to our sense of identity, our awareness of New Zealand’s bicultural heritage, and our understanding of the world.
We will be reading and writing, speaking and listening, creating and viewing texts. Our goal is to master the English Curriculum skills at curriculum level 5 and commence a foundation for level 6.
